POSITION: Kitchen Assistant

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for assisting the cook in food preparation and for ensuring the cleanliness of cookware, kitchen environment and this includes the kitchen floor, kitchen counters and other kitchen items.

Main duties:

  • Assist Cooks in preparing all ingredients and in actul cooking and food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment and this includes the kitchen counters, kitchen floor, kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Clean kitchen floor and counters, kitchen refrigerators at the end of each shift and/or when instructed to do so during shift.
  • Maintain tidiness of the store.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and observe all guidelines pertaining to the handling and preparation of food.
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Local with right working attitude and minimum of "O" level education.
  • Able to do shift work, including weekends and public holidays.

Competencies:

  • Good work attitude which ensures cleaning and other work are meticulously and diligently carried out.
  • Being able to work independently within set routines and to follow instructions.
  • Being proactive and alert at the entire time to provide assistance to the cooks when needed
  • Knowledgeable and diligent in adhering to food hygiene.  

 




POSITION: Senior Cook / Cook

Job Purpose:

The position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized cooking area and for preparing food according to the menu items ordered in timely manner.

Main Duties:

  • Provide tasty, value-for-money quality food in a clean environment and with a service experience that is fast super friendly and customized to the needs of each customer.
  • Provide efficient, accurate preparation of food for prompt customer delivery within the established SOP and outlet`s service standard.
  • Comply with company`s Han`s policies and procedures relating to all outlet activities.
  • Co-coordinate closely with other cooks and kitchen dispensers to provide smooth flow of customers` food orders.
  • Orientate and train assistant cook and trainee cook.
  • Suggest new food ideas and recipes.
  • Stand in for other cook in other outlets when needed.
  • Clean kitchen and cooking areas.
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • Local with a right working attitude and with minimum `O` Level education.
  • Able to do shift work, including over weekends and public holidays.
  • Have a fun, youthful personality, excellent service aptitude and an ability to communicate effectively with customers with a smile at all times.

Competency/Skills:

  • Knowlegde on how to provide good customer and personal services. This includes meeting quality standards for series and evaluation for customer satisfaction.
  • Being able to shift back and forth between two or more activities.
  • Being manually dexterous.
  • Being able to adjust one`s actions in relation to other`s actions.

POSITION: Sous Chef

  • Assign specific duties to all Trainee Cooks/Cooks in their work.
  • Ensure freshness of ingredients and supervise preparation of ingredients.  To perform weekly and daily ordering of ingredients for individual sections.
  • Supervise all bakery activities to ensure bread and cakes are prepared in accordance to the established recipes.
  • Prepare mise-en-place/ingredients and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Train new employees in order to ensure consistency in food presentation, taste and texture.
  • Appraise the performance of the Trainee Cook and make recommendations for promotions or other actions.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee the receiving/collection of delivery of materials from suppliers.
  • Prevent food wastage and pilferage.
  • Make reports on all matters pertaining to kitchen operation.
  • To perform any other related duties as assigned by Head Chef.
  • Comply with Han’s policies and procedures relating to outlet activities
  • Suggest new food ideas and recipes
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and observe all guidelines pertaining to the handling and preparation of orders
  • Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time




POSITION: Chef de Partie

Job purpose:

This position is responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen of an outlet which includes food preparation, supervision of cooks working under him/her and training of trainee cooks.  

Main duties:

  • Assign specific duties to all Trainee Cooks/Cooks in their work.

POSITION: Service Crew

Job Purpose:

  • Provide superior customer service that is fast, super friendly and customized to the needs of each customer.
  • Acquire the necessary product knowledge from outlet`s Supervisor/Assistant Supervisrors on food and cakes menu.
  • Provide effiecient, accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt customer service delivery in accordance to establishe SOP
    • Proper table settings and serving manners
    • Taking customers` order
    • Clearing tables
    • Handling cakes and pastries  counter
    • Require to make coffee and sandwiches
    • Perform cashiering at items
    • Does mopping and cleaning of dinning areas and dishwashing
    • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
  • Follow up opening and closing procedures.
  • Has knowledge of the outlet safety and emergency procedures.
  • Comply with company`s policies and procedures relating to all outlet activities.
